Welcome to Radical Creative. The world needs all of us to be our most creative selves. In music, art, science, parenting, relationships, in every aspect of life.

Here, we seek to understand what is so that what is hard, we can make easy, and what is good we can make better.

Radical Creative Center for the Arts offers courses in performance and composition for all levels of instruction and expertise on multiple instruments.

Music before theory We all have our "stories" to tell, and we have developed and offer tools that help make "telling" easier. If you believe that you have no voice, we can help you find it. If you believe you can only speak so loud, we can help you speak louder to tell more of your whole story. If you believe you are already telling a good story, we can help you find the pieces that make that story great.

Beethoven spoke of his process as "the Beautiful added to the Good" and that's where we start, at the beginning with a creative thought process that begins with what "is" instead of what "isn't".

 

we seek to understand what we believe our limits to be,                                                                                  we seek to understand what we desire our limits to be.                                                                                       we seek to understand what our limits actually are at that moment,                                                                   we seek to understand what is missing to allow us to believe in our desire.                                                       we seek to understand our actual abilities at each moment to learn to                                                             feed our desires with more truth and our beliefs less.

Then with a more solid foundation of what is actually true, we can build on the truth of what we have learned and do know rather than what we have believed and believe we do not know. Each course begins with a musical constant based on the foundational principle that all twelve notes have a fundamental harmonic/dissonant relationship to each other and do not need to be sub divided into key signatures to be understood and used.

"Music" in all the programs is defined as a series of measures where notes are combined into intervals to make chords. The intervals are then moved in some rhythmic way and the result is a melody that we then recognize as a song.

Some of the course options-private one on one sessions single instrument-small group rock band, jazz band, a cappella group.
